Tallu-lah is a Stationary company founded by Danielle Spinetta that focuses on Letterpress designs. You can find Tallu-lah products in boutiques across the United States. In her previous career, Danielle was the manager of multi-million dollar Gap Inc. stores and Store Communications for Old Navy. She also managed Union Street Papery in San Francisco. In her spare time she is also an event planner.
Chic Stamp
This is my all time favorite Save the Date card from Tallu-lah. It is fun and elegant with monogrammed initials in the center and your personal photo that you can spend hours choosing to find the perfect Save the date photo. Remember that postage will be more expensive with square cards! This square Save the Date comes in begonia, plum, and tropical. Basically that means you can pick from pink, purple, and blue.

Fashionable Foliage
I am a big fan of Lettepress Save the Dates. This design has a modern flair and I love the leaves and the interspersed color. The card is printed using the fine thermography of William Arthur which is absolutely gorgeous. If you don’t believe me remember that you can order a sample Save the Date card for this or any Wedding Paper Divas design for only $1.00. Please remember that while Lettepress Save the Date cards are things of beauty they also are more expensive. If you order 100 cards it comes out to $3.57 each.

While you have to pay initially, ultimately it is like getting free Save the Dates!
To take advantage of the free Save the Dates Card offer use the COUPON CODE: SAVE75 at checkout.
As I mentioned, it’s not really totally free since you have to buy your wedding invitations from them and not somewhere else. And of course your wedding invitations will likely cost a lot more than your Save the Date cards so Wedding Paper Divas is locking you into spending more with them. But they offer some of the best wedding invitations available so I think it’s a really compelling offer. And depending on the Save the Date card you choose you can likely get wedding invitations that match.
Please note that the $75 discount will be sent as a special discount code via email within 2 business days of your Save the Dates order. One bummer is that the promotion does not apply to Thermography or Letterpress wedding invitations. Also, the $75 discount code must be used within 3 months of issue date otherwise it expires. So be careful that you order your wedding invitations within 3 months of buying your Save the Dates.

Save the Date Postcards are a great alternative to magnets or traditional cards. One benefit of the Save the Dates postcards is that they often are less expensive. Vendors typically provide a set price for cards and envelopes. So postcards are usually less expensive than traditional Save the Date card and envelopes because you don’t have to pay for envelopes. Also, postage costs are lower. According to the US postal service website, postcards cost $0.28 to mail vs. $0.44 for a standard letter. So that is a savings of $0.16 per card. That may not seem like a lot of money but if you have a lot of guests it can really add up. For example, for a 100 person wedding that is an increased cost of $16. But for a 300 person wedding that could be $48 in extra cost. Save the postage so that you can instead spend on something nice for yourself.
Postcards often come in similar designs to Save the Date cards. Wedding Paper Divas has some of the best Save the Date postcards.
Another benefit is that Save the Date postcards can save you time as you don’t have to take the effort to place each card in an envelope and seal it. Trust me that my husband and I spent an entire 2 evenings stuffing envelopes and licking and closing the envelopes. My tongue can still taste all the glue from the envelopes!
Please be aware that one downside of choosing a Save the Date postcard is that postcards have less privacy than letters that can be sealed in envelopes. So if you are concerned about the mail man seeing your wedding details you may want to consider Save the Date cards instead.
MagnetStreet Weddings has a great selection of Save the Date postcards. For example, check out the following beautiful postcard designs:
You can also buy Save the Date postcards from Zazzle. Here is an example of the front and back of one of the Zazzle offerings:

Robyn Miller is a New York City based designer that started initially illustrating birth announcements for her close friends. From there she moved on to birthday invites, moving announcements, and more. Her goal is to provide sophisticated and stylish stationery for the inner child in all of us. She has been in business since 2003 and also design children’s books.
Cozy Reminder
I always feel that the simple Save the Dates are the best Save the Dates. This design includes a bold lower border that includes all the details of your upcoming nuptials. The font is playful and casual which really catches the eye. This photo is also spectacular and the blue brick wall coordinates well with “the” in Save the Date. It’s not always possible to do but I like when folks match the picture with the card.

Photo Blocks
With the Photo Blocks Save the Date card you can choose up to 6 photos to include. I find this card to be oh so sophisticated and I really like the ability to choose square sized photos along with vertical photos. You can mix and match black and white or colors photos that allows some nice contrast. And I like the brown and white middle box coloring.

Many people want a Save the Date card or design that reflects the theme of the wedding. For example, if you are getting married in Hawaii you might want a “Beach Themed” Save the Date that reflects the beach vibe. So something with palm trees or seashells could be appropriate. Maybe something like this:

Or if you are having a winter wedding you may want to have a Winter Save the Date card with snowflakes and snowmen. So maybe something like this design:

If you are having a traditional Chinese wedding with a full 12 course Chinese banquet then you may want to have a ethnic Save the Date. For example, you could choose this Chinese Save the Date card:

Luckily many of the Save the Date vendors offer themed Save the Dates. In fact Wedding Paper Divas offers the ability to select and filter Save the Date cards by theme.
