Below on the left is a Save the Date postcard. It’s not actually a postcard as you still mail it in an envelope. But I like the concept for a wedding Save the Date. Ocean of Love
This Save the Date card by Smudge Ink has majestic ocean in a brilliant blue. If you are getting married by the ocean or sea this could be a good choice for your Save the Date. The lines of the ocean are bold and powerful yet also calming and soothing. I do love weddings by the ocean. Let your guests know what they are in store for with you upcoming wedding and make sure they save the date.

Floral Tapestry
This Save the Date is printed on the Signature Ecru paper which has a really nice quality and feel. The colors are just exquisite with a floral pattern that I find so beautiful. It’s almost like I am looking at an exquisite oil painting and not a Save the Date card. There is a nice touch with the shadow of additional flowers off to the left on the bottom. And a bold brown banner declares “Save the Date” with your details below it.

Floral Watercolor
Lady Jae definitely likes floral arrangements on her Save the Dates. If you want a flower Save the Date card that has more of a watercolor feel instead of the oil based painting feel of Floral Tapestry this could be an excellent choice. This one has a light and airy feel with beautiful silhouettes of flowers drawn along the bottom of the card in purple, yellow, and orange pastel colors. Your name and your future husband’s name are written in a bold Purple font. It’s a really cute Save the Date card.

I have many favorites from Magnolia Press but two that I favor are Effortless Elegance and and Striped Overlay Save the Date cards. Effortless Elegance is just a simple white block with your favorite engagement photo. The fonts are clean and bright and if you choose a more vintage sepia look for your photos like the example below it is just a magical Save the Dates card. You can’t go wrong with this card choice for your wedding.

The card on the right called Striped Overlay Save the Date is a bit more modern with striped lines of varying widths. The example picture is with black which creates a very modern look but you can customize this card and choose other colors as well. If you are looking for a more current Save the Date card this could be it.

Less is More
This Save the Date photo card is a great original design from Paper Culture. It is available in red, purple, and brown font. I really like that the photo is the center piece of the card & the information about the wedding nuptials is off to the side. So the focus is really on you & your fiancé. I really do like this engagement photo. It’s so nice to see the eye contact & I adore pattern of the brick wall behind them.

Engaged
This Save the Date card is another house design from Paper Culture. As I said they really have a focus on simplicity that takes on a modern style. The letters of “engaged” are interlocked together just like the act of marriage which is oh such sweet and subtle symbolism. This Save the Date comes in purple, pink, grey, and green. I personally think green is best but you should choose what matches your wedding colors.

Falling Petals
This Save the Date photo card is a great design from Good on Paper. It comes in black, brown, or a fuschia color. I really like the contrast of the white petals with the black background and the fonts really complement the overall design of this Save the Date.

Vintage Royalty
This Save the Date photo card has a beautiful elegance to it. I really like the gold and pink color combination and the ring in the center is just adorable. Choose a bright and cheery photo and you will have a unique Save the Date card.

Fall Branch
This is one of those gorgeous Save the Dates that really just stands out. If you are having a fall wedding this could be perfect. Even if not I just love the fall foliage theme. I especially like the small leaves that are flying off on the end. And the crisp white of the rest of the card makes for a beautiful card to send to friends and family to Save the Date for your special wedding day.

Photo Strip Memories
If I had to choose one theme that I always like for Save the Date cards it would have to be photo booth Save the Dates. This one is no exception. It has a slightly off center aligned strip of photo proofs that let’s you pick 3 favorite photos. It has an old time charm that I really like. To go with the theme of the Save the Date design it’s probably best to choose black and white photos.

Postcard Inspirations
Postcards are really a lost art in my mind. But you can bring it back with this Save the Date card that relives an old stamp and postmarked postcard.
