Kelle Boyd of Ann Kelle Designs has always had a love of art and drawing. At age 9 she was a self confessed “fashionista” designing her own line of kid’s clothes and dresses. In 2006 she finally made the leap from a career in public policy to full time designer. She describes her style as “simple, sweet, and sassy.” She is inspired by simple things in life like ties, spring flowers, ice cream, and even the sweater vest she wore in the grade school.

Joy Deangdeelert Cho is the designer behind Oh Joy! Studio. Before stepping out on her own in 2006 she worked for the Cynthia Rowley Swell line at Target. Joy says she gets her inspiration from textures, patterns, and the beautiful colors that she sees everywhere whether it be in nature, architecture, or even clothing.

While the date in a Save the Date card is certainly important. I personally think the fact that you and your fiancé are together as one couple is most important. So the “and” is key. This card from Oh Joy! takes this to heart with a big and bold yellow ampersand that emphasizes your new commitment to each other. It really pops out amid the turquoise background.
Coloring Cricket creates cards exclusively for Wedding Paper Divas. The designer Christine Welch is an Iowa based designer who grew up in the Northern Sierras a backdrop of natural elegance that she incorporates into her Coloring Cricket Save the Date card designs.

The company was started in 1983 and sells fine, handmade papers from across the world. They have a very diverse selection of colors, pre-cut and packaged cards, envelopes, and accessories. This allows one to really customize invitations that speak to your individual style.
If you buy in a retail store location they have Save the Dates that can be laser printed or letter pressed depending on your preference. However, there is an additional fee for these services. If you want a classic black and white card then this design by Feather could be perfect. It features cursive script at the top and simple serif font for your names, the date, and location of your wedding. I especially like how the “save the date” cursive script is written almost as if it was written with an actual water brush with the dark and lighter areas. Who says that black and white is boring? Please do keep in mind that this is a square save the date card and so postage via the united states postal service will cost extra since they can not be machine scanned. This square envelope surcharge typically costs about 20 cents per card in addition to standard postage. So it can be a significant extra cost so please keep that in mind.

The focus of the card is just the date of your wedding, which really is the purpose of a Save the Date card. So with this card it is mission accomplished.

I am a big fan of floral print Save the Date cards. They just seem to bring out the spirit of a wedding in my mind. Especially when you are having a spring or summer outdoor wedding. This is a unique Save the Date card that was supposedly inspired by a cool ocean breeze blowing across the Pacific Ocean. The unique green and aquamarine accents twist along and strike the S in Save the Date. It’s also printed on recycled paper so in addition to being a beautiful card it is better for the environment.
Painted Periwinkles
If you want a Save the Date card that captures the elegance and beauty of a impressionist water color painting then this is exactly for you. There are beautiful plum colored touches that appear as soft brush strokes of paint that give it a whispy, summer feel. Another great design by Lady Jae.
Turquoise Creative is the design shop of Misha Zadeh. Based in Seattle, Misha has a definite artist’s eye for exquisite detail. Her work often features rich texture, has a wonderful and graceful depth, and what I consider to be true individuality. As a child of two architects, Misha was encouraged to appreciate creating beautiful objects and she carries on that tradition to this day.
Blooming Tree
The Blooming Tree is a Save the Dates for weddings card that has an exquisite style with a touch of nature. It features brown branches that extend from the right with small cherry blossom like buds about to bloom. The names of the couple are printed in a rich red cursive font that matches the red buds of the branch.

For all of you who are having weddings in San Francisco here is the card for you. This Save the Date card comes in a beautiful turquoise color and creates a clean and open look with the typography to the left and the reeds off on the right. It is a part of an overall set and you can get matching wedding invitations.
Magnolia Press is a new designer for Wedding Paper Divas. I don’t know much about the firm or who is behind it. In any case, Magnolia Press has some adorable Save the Dates that take advantage of the ability to include a customized picture. There are two cards in particular that I am keen on and they both use a light teal blue which is one of my favorite colors.
Beautiful Band
This is an especially elegant Save the Date card. It has a sleek sophisticated look that places a basic blue banner with your wedding information on it. This is quite striking especially when paired with a wonderful black and white engagement photo like the one seen here. I also really like the contrast of the cursive style headline with the couple’s names and the more basic block letters with the wedidng info below.
Extraordinary Style
Again this Save the Date card has a blue teal band of color. This design has more of a postcard look which I think is quite charming.It also makes use of cursive font for the couple’s names but also adds the initials in the background in light blue font. A simple yet extraordinary Save the Date card.
Simply Put is a boutique card company started by Ashley Woodman. The company designs stationery with a minimalist approach to design. The designs are traditional with modern taste. There is also a strong respect for classic style in all of her designs and a hallmark of her cards is often the intricate illustrations. Simply Put designs wedding invitations, save the dates, and baby announcements.

This is our favorite wedding Save the Date card from Simply Put. It is a fun card with a bold brown color that plays up the diamond ring motif.

Buttercup Blossoms
Yellow flowers with a simple green dot make this design stand out. The brown border nicely draws your attention to the photo of the couple. And of course you can customize it with whatever photo you’d like to use. In addition to mustard yellow it also comes in red lantern and eggplant colors. You can also choose your own custom colors if you see fit.

This design is such a clever idea. We really like the idea of a film strip from a photo booth shoot to show off multiple photos of the happy couple. This one is particularly good if you can’t decide which of your engagement pictures to include. With the Photo Booth Save the Date card you can show 3 different pictures. It comes in three colors including watermelon, tropical and leaf.
